The problem with having an imagination

Mon Nov 9, 2009, 8:56 PM
  • Mood: Distracted
  • Listening to: Billy Joel
  • Reading: Wuthering Heights
  • Watching: Nostalig Critic
  • Playing: Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
  • Eating: pizza
  • Drinking: water
I have been having a large problem lately. And I don't mean to be a pain, but all these projects at once in college have overwhelmed me and practilly put my creativity to nothing. Which makes me feel like my brain is going to explode and than cause the rest of my body to catch on fire. As odd as that sounds, it was something my imagination played in my head. I think the creativity has been cooped up for so long that it has begun to becom twisted.

Because of this, I forced myself to stop procrastinating with my latest chapter of my fan fiction, but that put off working on one of my projects I must resume once finishing this post. To make matters worse, I keep coming up with ideas what would be a short story or a drawing (my skill in that has slightly improved and I now have the power of Photoshop) every day, usually with multiple ideas. Not to mention after watching all this Nostalgic Critic I've been watching wants me to do such things about books since I've been reading so many for my English class.

So the next two weeks are going to be EXTREMELY whacked up, and after that I go to my first-ever convention, so the next weeks are going to be full-filled. Don't expect much come up on here, though I have sworn to get the next two worlds in my fan fiction done by Christmas, even if that means writing five chapters in a week right before Christmas morning, it shall be done!

In other news, the football team here has been doing well, and may provide the chance to go to a bowl game. Which would be cool.

Also, you may see me in the future give links to short animations or comics. That's because I became a member of a small studio nearby a campus, as my only large outlet of creativity. One of my short stories is in the works to become a short animation, with in turn for me writing in episodic script style of a comic/animation series that's in the works (sci-fi feel). So there may be some collaborative projects up on here soon, or another website I will provide links too.

As I end this long journal, that is more of a rant of my current life situation, I would like to leave you with a poetic statement:

"As the leaves turned, and faded to gray,
I could not help but notice that this has occurred
in your troubled soul

But fear not, young one
even though the color disappears from our world
it will return to us as it always has in the past"

What's important isn't that we agree with one another, just that we understand one another.
